Thanks for near instant reply!!

Confused on "broader "
Did you change out with unit still on truck?
Any fuel bath while doing it or did you pinch line?

Thanks again!!

We did it on the truck still with my dodge it's on the frame rail super easy. No fuel bath to my knowledge. Was a little over a year ago. I'd pinch the lines just in case.

Now holding it in my grubby hands
UPS Dude just left.

Reading instructions It says;
.9 Place Viton ball in the figure 8 slot......."
Could this be held in place with a little silicone grease to hold check ball and O-rings (If they don't wan'na stay put) while assembling from top side?
The "dowel pins" must be an alignment thing?
If old ones stay in the base, I'm gonna reuse. (?)

Heading to Harbor Freight to get needle nose vise grips to gently pinch tank side line (maybe both sides....Their tools are cheep..errrr...inexpensive ;) )

STAY TUNED!!........ ;)

Thanks again!!!!!!!

Well, All good with the new motor on the AirDog-2 and power back.

Until, I got a dispatch to transport a Kubota tractor to Flint Michigan from Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
Was supposed to be around 10,500 LBS.
Went to scales and it is 13,400! and my total 31,840 LBS!
I am licensed at 33,000 LBS sooooooo.......

All was well till Fancy Gap on I-77 toward Wytheville were I usually top off.

My huge grin was back as I walked past the big rigs in 4th at 65 MPH and easily pulled 70 MPH in 6th on level ground and held 70 in 5th on average grades.

Then came Virginia and the pull to Fancy Gap.
Second time the clutch fan kicked in it set the low fuel rail PSI code!!
Grabbed my code reader which thankfully I kept pluged in and mashed on the clear codes button.
By the time the fuel recovered I was in 3rd gear as all the rigs I had passed went by with horns blaring and drivers laughing and waving the "Your number one with me" sign!

Feathering the go pedal the rest of the way to Fancy Gap in 3rd and occasionally 4th, I read a thread where several talked about Summer temperatures and high injector fuel return from worn injectors and high temps on long pulls.
Also John at Preble Performance said I might have a fuel PSI regulator going down.
Found a NOS Boesh (Speel chek) regulators on Ebal for $138 and going to order one today.
Also saw were someone offers a performance/alternate regulator that is to run 17-20 % PSI higher rail PSI?
BUT of course their sold out......DOH!! http://www.confederatediesel.com/lb7...tor-clone.html

ALSO, wondering if I add a transmission cooler to the fuel line in front of the radiator would it help hold down fuel and injector temps?
I have bypassed the filter on pass side do to a leaking mount plate with a 1/2" double barbed nipple.
If I split the line there and run forward to the cooler and insulate the lined with alum. foil would it help?
Anyone try this?

Anyone put some kind of valve on the injector return line to restrict return and possibly hold injector rail psi with the valve dash mounted to only use on long pulls?

I understand injectors may be the only correct fix and I have a appointment May 15th at Preble where I might have him detune the injectors pulse width on the Live Wire stock setting and get a quote on injectors or do them if 2nd mortgage on house is enough....LOL! ....DOH!!

Thoughts on the fuel cooler PLEASE!!

Currently at the Best Western in Charleston, West Virginia and would like to travel more than 45 MPH to Flint, Michigan......DOH!..... LOL!!
