Hey

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am a sales rep and tech for Pure Flow Technologies (manufacturer of Air Dog and Raptor). I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding our systems or assist any dealers looking to get set-up with our company.

It is an exciting time here at Pure Flow, with a lot of new products coming down the pipe. I look forward to speaking with several of you soon and answering any questions that you may have.

Thanks,

Ron

Being extremely disappointed with the AirDog FP100 I recently installed on my 2002 7.3 Powerstroke, I'm wondering--are the hoses/fittings/filters that come with an AirDog kit Biodiesel compatible? That would be one very minor thing to make me feel comfortable with the $500-ish I spent on the AD.

Bio Fuel Compatability

I appreciate the warm response that you guys have given me. I am happy to be a part of the forums and I will do my best to keep up with all questions. I am new to the forums, but bear with me and I will get more adept as I go.

In answer to the bio-compatability.....

Our pump is Bio-Diesel compatible. The lifetime warranty on our pumps is good wether you are running pump fuel, bio or veggie. The lines that come in the kits are compatible as well. However, we have had a few people have issues with heating the line. We are in teh process as we speak of acquiring a hose manufacturer to supply us with heatable fuel line. This will soon be an option for anyone ordering a new Raptor or Air Dog unit.

I am sure we will have a kit available to our customers to upgrade there existing units as well. This should be available within the next few weeks. Feel free to contact me for more information.

Jvencius,

You mention being extremely disappointed, but only mention the fuel line. Is there something else that I can help you with regarding your new unit?

Ron

I'm not disappointed at all with the quality of the pump or hardware but so far I have seen NONE of the claims made in any of the AirDog advertising I read prior to buying it. My truck is just as smoky, not any quieter, and my fuel mileage hasn't increased at all so other than the pre-pump 2 micron filtration and air/water separation the AirDog provides, I don't really think I got my money's worth with the AirDog.

jvencius,

Keep in mind that if you just put your system on, it will take a while before you start seeing some of the benefits of our system.

As far as the smoke, you will actually see an increase in smoke when you first put the sytsem on. This is caused from burning out the carbon deposits that are present in most diesel engines. Once the engine has had a chance to clear itself up, because of the corrected timing....you should see a decrease in smoke output. The quieter operation goes along with this as well.

The fuel mileage increase should have been noticable pretty quickly. Most customers see an increase of 5-10%, if the vehicle is driven the same as it was before putting the unit on their truck.

Also, keep in mind you have a fuel pump and filtration system that has a lifetime warranty. So in essence, you have spent all the money that you ever will on fuel pumps. Hopefully you will see these benefits soon with your new system, and I hope to hear from you when you do.

Thanks

Ron
