oil for kubota tractor
 
I have a kubota 2710 tracor and am going to change the oil. Can I run my rotella 15w40 in it. Thanks:humm:

I don't see why not we run that in the little john deere tractors at work and I've never seen a problem with any of it.

Thanks, I just wasnt sure if kubota called for one particular oil. I guess I would run rotella even if they did.

As Service Manager for a large equipment rental company for 15 years, I have used Shell Rotella T, Mobile Delvac, and Chevron Delo 400. All equipment (including Kubota)was tested with scheduled oil sampling, and the results were the same. The only oil that I know of that will screw with a sample is Penzoil due to a high copper content. If this oil is known during the SOS, then it does not even it show a problem. In short, use a well-known brand that is Diesel rated. You will be OK.:pca1:

i used to be a mechanic at a kubota dealership and all we used in the diesels was 15-40 thats what i even run in my G1800

You can run pretty much any brand oil you like. Depending on the engine (and year), the service manuals typically call for a CD grade oil. The weight of the oil is climate dependant, but 15-40 has always been a good standby
