A realy good filter like a Green filter and a prewrap around it with a different tube that takes it to the turbo. You don't think it would work with the 6300?
I am not familiar with the 6300 so I don't know on it.With the newer tractors that damn computer shit stops alot of mods unfortionetly.Carefull don't put too large of a Turbo on the 5000 it can overheat unless you have an intercooler or a larger radiator.
The 5000 has that oil bath filter. It would not hurt anthing if I got rid of it right? I don't see that it would. I would not put a much bigger turbo on it, and that is only if I have time to rebuild the engine this summer. The 6300 is only 17 years old I think it would work.
No it shouldn't hurt the 5000.I know alot of guys who prefer the oil bath system though they say it cleans better.
I thought they did for the most part. I just want a way to get more air flowin' to the compresser wheel.
The oil bath system was the fix for the dry filters not cleaning enough particles out back in the old days before the new filter material came along. So changen them out shouldn't be any issue as long as what your changin it to will flow enough air and your gonna know if it's not by the black smoke blowin.
I figured that would be the case. It blows smoke anytime u put a load on it or go up a hill while drivin' it empty.
Just like any other diesel, to much black smoke means not enough oxygen to burn the fuel it's gettin. That oil bath must be starvin it already.
