Boost fooler
Today I made up a mechanical boost fooler. It consists of a screw type valve that you would put on a paint spray gun to control input pressure. I have it set to 22 PSI. It seems to work well but I did notice at WOT on my 100 HP tune, I can hit 1,200 EGT alot easier than before I put the valve on. My question is, have any of you guys that have mechanical boost fooler noticed this? I'm not concerned that it gets that hot since it drops temperature when I let off. But I did get to 24 PSI now.
Thanks, Geoff |
Probly cus ur hittin it with all the fuel u can now versus backin of it to keep boost under control

that's what i was thinking. But i'm wondering if it's still acurate. according to the gauge the boost comes up alot faster. but it feels like she's putting out a little more too.

is your wg connected still? is your fooler connected inline with the map or the wg?
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- my guess would be that its givin more fuel cus it thinks you not fully boosted yet... |
i have it in line with the map line. i've tried the unplug the WG thing and it ran worse.

when you say it ran worse how so? when i had the stock turbo it would boost WAY faster disconnected...
