JW about injectors???

So I was wondering whats the biggest injectors I could put on my truck with pmr's? That with a custom tuned chip and my garrett R38bb and exhaust and intake would put me at 400-450 HP?
Would I need a hpump too?
The adrenaline hpump is on my list for by the end of the summer, unless it's completely not needed?

95powersmoker 04-12-2011 02:51 PM

Some small hybrids like a 238/100 or even some large stage 2's like a 180/100 would do pretty good. Either one with a 38r is going to be a nice running truck in your power range.

I would do the injectors first and then get a scanner to see what your HPOP is doing, once you look at the pressures its running, if it is worn, throw an adrenaline in there.

wouldnt the hybrids be too much power for the pmr's?

Lange503 04-12-2011 03:53 PM

it all in the tuning, but i wouldn't push it much over a 160/100 (stage 2) thats just me though, i dont like walking too much lol

CSIPSD 04-12-2011 04:01 PM

Its all in the tuning... Timing...

I could show you tuning that would SCARE you...

I would have no issue throwing a set of 238/80 or 238/100 hybrids in a PMR motor with the right tuner at the controls...

ok so who would u guys suggest for tuning?
i was looking around and swamps has hybrid injectors that are "400hp" 200/30% "400hp" Hybrid (Set)
what do u guys think?
or just go with the 238/100 hybrids with good tuning? then when if i do rod swap i can go 500?

CSIPSD 04-12-2011 04:18 PM

Those are a good deal, and come from Swamps which I have to like... they are very safe with PMR's, but if you ever want for more, your selling them or getting new parts for them... If you went with a set of 250/100 hybrids you have more room to grow...

IMHO.

ya and the 238/100 hybrids are the same price. but what is the best TS chip tuner person for custom tunes for either set of injectors?

CSIPSD 04-12-2011 04:41 PM

Beans, Tryant, Power Hungry Performance, Swamps... A few others I am forgetting...

95powersmoker 04-12-2011 05:23 PM

If you get your injectors from Swamps, I would go with their tuning as well..

Lange503 04-12-2011 05:35 PM

i think if you buy their injectors its either free or half off on tuning if i remember right?? i'm going with beans or swamps for my tuning next, i really like Bill at PHP he's just a hard man to get ahold of

PHPDiesel 04-13-2011 08:02 AM

Actually, PMR's were peppered in limited quantities throughout the mid-late 2000 MY trucks as well. I have seen it with my own eyes, not just read on an internet forum.

Just look. No sense in guessing.

So why don't you explain to him where to look and what to look for that way there is no guessing and he gets great knowledge from experienced Powerstroke guru's that have seen it with their own eyes, not just what he read on an internet forum... :c:

Here's one of the holes:

This is where it's located (where the aftermarket filter hose goes in behind the oil filter):

CSIPSD 04-14-2011 12:10 PM

Thanks Cody...

So what you need to do is bump the motor over until you can see the bottom of a rod... You want to see a nut and stud... You dont want to see a bolt.

I have a PMR rod in the back of my truck, I'll get a pic after lunch and post it up.

PHPDiesel 04-14-2011 03:12 PM

One that looks like this? http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gall.../79716.520.390
