injector tips

just ordered some 75 horse injector tips and they should be here friday, do i need any special tools to get the tips off? :humm: any hints, tips, or tricks will be greatly appreciated

... I have to ask why?

Few things.

1. In order to change the injector NOZZLES (not tips) you have to completely disassemble the injector. This is not something that should be done without the proper tools and knowledge. If you dont know what your doing you can and will get it wrong.

2. With split shot injectors you are already pushing your limits of the factory HPOP with just a chip. Adding nozzles to split shots without adding HPO volume leads to more smoke, higher EGT's, lower MPG and HPO codes.

3. Your 75hp nozzles will really give you only about 40hp at most, and thats only at WOT.

Find out what the nozzles are... Be it .008 holes, .010, 30% over, 80% over or what ever... 75hp means squat.

i tried to get the flow rate and such but they said no go on it because too much time and money has been invested into them? i dunno thats just what they said, and i plan on a HPOP here soon

Where did you get them from?

I would tell them that you want the hole size or you will return them. Why would you buy something you have no idea what they are (not directed at you but its just rediculious,) nozzles are nozzles, there are only a few places IN THE WORLD where you can get nozzles for the 7.3...

You would be better off getting a set of stage 2 or hybrid injectors...

go to Diesel Care Inc and its in the performance section, 40-100 horsepower injector rebuild kits

CSIPSD 03-04-2010 03:31 PM

I looked it over... No info. If they will not give you the spec on the nozzles then ask them how your tuner will know how to tune for the injector nozzle...

Really, If they will not tell you what your buying, I would return it. I know exactly what my nozzles flow...

They are 100% over and flow between 37 and 39lpm (liters per minute)

ok i will call and ask them one more time and tell them to tell me or take them back, thanks for your help and i will post back up on here what happens

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

what rpm and pulse width should i tell them? they asked what rpm and pulse width then they could tell me the flow, and i'm not familar with the really technical stuff like that

CSIPSD 03-04-2010 04:53 PM

RPM does not matter... PW... They need to tell YOU what they tested the nozzles at...

I really think they do not know what they are selling.

Lange503 03-05-2010 01:17 PM

ok, i will call again tomorrow morning and see what they say

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

they said 40% over stock

CSIPSD 03-05-2010 01:49 PM

Thats an odd number... Most run 30%, or 80% or 100% and so on... But hey, ya got a number out of them!!! LOL

Its your choice, you might see 30hp out of them, with some good tuning. But at what expense, higher EGT's, more smoke, and lower MPG...

Give Bill or Corey a shout at Power Hungry Performance - Feed your hunger for POWER! Check out our Gryphon Programmer for Ford vehicles! and see what they have to say. Bill might be able to burn you some good tunes for them.:tu:
