Just ordered a Suncoast
I just bought a suncoast Transmission for my 7.3. Told them I wanted it to withstand a minimum of 500HP (not that im shooting for that, just to be safe). Also purchased the extreme tow cooler, billet input shaft, torque converter, and deep pan. I was wondering if anyone else also has a sunco and how they like it.

I have a full suncoast tranny... I would have told you to save your money on the input shaft but...
Get a C-6 foward drum, they are fully splined, the 4r100 is not. |
what is a C-6 forward drum? splined? and im assuming you are happy with the tranny though? thx
|
How much did u pay for your Suncoast? I agree with Joe, go with the C6. Or just stick with the 4R100 drum for now and if anything happens to it, get the C6
|
Yes I am happy with it...
C-6 is a earlier automatic. It will hold more HP... |
Joe did u put a C6 drum in yours?
|
Yes, After I spit the splines out of the 4r100 drum...
|
awwww, ok

Got everything for about $4800 with 2 year unlimited warranty, tried to get them to match ats 5 year warranty but failed. My tranny blew when we were on vacation for new years got stuck 15 Hours from home for almost 2 weeks. Family finally came and towed my truck and trailor home. Been wanting a sunco for awhile, and thats what it took to finally get it. A C-6 is a full tranny? still dont understand fully, still learning about my truck and i can never get enough knowledge! thx for the help and input.
