2001 7.3 powerstroke

Put a edge chip in. Water in fuel light came on. No water in it, when hitting gas pedal the rpm's slowly build up but won't go over 2 grand. Took chip out and still doing the same thing. Anyone have any idea's. Please I need help.

might be the sensor and if the sensor is reading water it might tell the computer to defuel:humm:

Check your fuel filter

Thanks all, we changed fuel filter and drained fuel and found no water. Also, took chip out and still doing it.
