Time for new mud tires... input

Alright I currently run 285/75/16 cooper discoverer st's, and they are damn good in the mud, snow, and pavement. Even with them mostly bald, I can go thru nearly any snow or mud in 2wd. They dont hit my mileage any if at all, and they lost a minute.

Well its time for new tires, and I'm wondering if there are better choices. This is not my daily driver, it's mostly my winter/fun/work truck, so I dont care about ride quality. I just ask that the tire selection doesn't hit mileage any, and they have decent tread life. I will be going with 305/70/16 this time around fyi.

Stick with the coopers I love my 285's and I know I will run the 35' s. The toyo s are soft and wear fast so u will replace them often. 20k on mine and still have 12/32" left

sent from my rooted Evo cm7

I have never had a set of Toyo MT's go less then 50k... Most last me close to 60k...

My vote will continue to be for Toyo MT's...

I had a set of 305/16 Cepek FC-II on my '01 that were half tread when I got them and I ran them another 20k before I put a hole in a sidewall. Great traction, quiet, got through anything, only thing I didn't like was they seemed to ball up at low (under 5-10mph) speeds in the mud around here (high clay). Just another option, most guys I've asked about the Crushers liked them but they were soft.

Damn all you guys like the toyo mt's huh? I was researching and it seems most do like them over any other tire. 50-60k miles on them?! That's aweome!! How much would they cost for a set of 4 or 5 toyo mt's, and where should I get them from?

i always get mine at 4 wheel parts cause they have a march madness sale this past march i got my new toyos igot 37 x 13.50 x 17 got em all and installed for 1800

That's not bad, for all 5?

Also will these tires hit my mileage at all from the discoverer st's on it now?
