I got gauges i just want a little more power

ok then you can really only slightly adjust the plate because too mutch power will blow ur tranny.... make sure you keep an eye in ur trans temp.

bullrider96 09-02-2009 05:31 PM

how much is the max temp and how much is slightly because i need to know these things before i mess it up

i beilieve anywhere over 200* tranny temp the fluid starts to break down and cause rapid wear. i've hard most guys that want a little extra fuel slide the plate FF and then back it off 1/16-1/8 of an inch. it'll give ya some more fuel but it isnt anything too drastic. stocker internals on the transmission will handle more than the torque convertor. w/o an upgraded TC your going to just cause abunch of headaches for yourself

well i have a 5 speed wat do you recommend i do to it and the full plate do i push it all the way foward then back it off 1/8 of a inch or how would i adjust it so i wont break anything and also wat number of fuel plate would you recommend to me

use the stock plate and just slide that around untill you beef up the trannt.... and as far as how mutch to move it i have no idea.

I dont have a plate so with that being said will adjusting the star wheel make any difference at all. Because my truck likes to smoke and i like it not to.
