Diesel Dawgs Performance 10-24-2009 03:48 PM

I also think you should put it in and see if you like it ... on a side note you #5 should ship out on monday

12vcummins96 10-24-2009 04:00 PM

it looks like a 100 to me to

can u make more "power" with a #5 or#4 even than a 100? what the real difference?

kinda what i was thinking minus the smooth slope for a different torque curve

by the looks of a 4 and 5... a 4 at stock position may make more power in the mid rpm's than a 100 at stock position; however by the time you move the 100 ff your basically running a 0 plate with a low end torque curve incorporated. and a #5 just kinda looks like its all over... more a less a plate used to tune for a certain torque/power rating at a certain rpm.

hey man, i ordered a #5 and got the same exact #100 plate. probably ordered from the same ying yang person lol. anyways, i lke mine and decided to not return it, hopefully you'll like yours as well.

also, when i installed mine i noticed the arm didn't travel up the plate but barely anything. i figured it was just getting caught on the plate somehow and that installing the #100 would fix that by being smooth with no ridges. well it didn't! the arm is set at the correct height and hits flush with the plate, but i can't get it to travel up the plate... any suggestions? i tried adjusting the arm height on the plate, even tho it was correct and didn't accomplish anything but losing the socket in my afc. any suggestions on why it's not traveling up the plate but only about 4-5mm

bowtech 10-24-2009 11:09 PM

what would the egts difference be between a 5 and that 100?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

and whats the power difference on a 5 plate slid all the way and a 100 instock position? What is stock position in the center?

FastCR 10-24-2009 11:23 PM

dude just throw the 100 in. your gonna get that itch in a couple months for more and toast that auto anyway. just get it over with lol

dk if they move up and down the plate that much more... there in my fuels class we had the calibration machine and while runnin the pump i dont remember the governor arm moving as much as you'd really think...

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

plus it isnt the "up and down that is important; its the back and forwarth...

joshmock 10-25-2009 01:35 AM

alright man.... i wish i would have known that before i threw that socket in there trying to adjust the arm height :argh:

bowtech 10-25-2009 11:41 AM

i am putting my suncoast valve body in sat. then ordering a tc would a 100 still tear it up in stock position?

joshmock 10-25-2009 01:45 PM

the #100 starts out like a stock plate and then goes full fuel. Most damage is done getting off the line, and since it starts out low fuel you should be fine. i'm still running stock and i'm not worried at all, although i do have the manual tranny. still stock everything inside it tho

bowtech 10-25-2009 01:55 PM

yeah and that plate that i got if you look at the pic and compare it to a 100 the bottom foot thing is like twice as big as a 100 plate. i figured with a vb and a tc it should be fine
