Injector's

Is Moose the only person that makes aftermarket injectors. I will go with "BB" if I can't find any other performance injectors cause i don't want to pay boo coo bucks on injectors for my pa's 7.3 facorty turbo. I heard a rumor that ATS and DPS makes 4o horse sticks for 250 bucks witch is a awesome deal but can't find any research any of all know if this is true or have a link so I can check it out.

DPS does make IDI injectors, but no one I have talked to that has used them has been happy. They basically piss(as opposed to properly atomizing) a ton of fuel into the motor, resulting in rough idle and lots of blue smoke(all the time). They do make more power but your driveability suffers.

Ok thanks bud I was on the chevy idi forum and none of them seemed to happy about them. How do you like your "BB" injectors. Did you notice a quite a bit of power increase??

After the injectors and getting the timing set, there was a very noticeable difference. The truck pulls harder through all the gears and doesn't lug anymore when I take off in 2nd.

thank helps alot. Is your first gear low like the NV 4600 and the get rags? Out of asuption how much power do you the those injectors gave a rough estimate? I'm thinkin about puttin in a 5 speed in my new diesel, cause it has the four speed...:ouch:

My first gear is pretty low, only gets me to about 10mph before it redlines. According to my last dyno run, I picked up 13hp and 30tq at the wheels.

ok so you probily take off in second huh? and thats quiet a bit of power. Did you turn the pump uo some more. I bet it fills your chimneys good now:jump:

i have the 4 speed in mine, always start in 2nd. even with my 3.54 gears and 36's. only use low hole to piss people off or in traffic. :choochoo:

I was thinkin the same thing lol. This weekend I'm going to look at a 86 one ton 4 speed dana 60 straight cab its a buddy of mines. Its wat i wanted

I always start in second as well, but it used to lug when I did and puff a black cloud each time. Now it takes off with ease and I can't hardly lug it if I try. I did turn the pump up 1 more flat. It will smoke pretty good now if I want it to.
