Extra Capacity Fuel Tank
I want to up the fuel capacity on my 1993 F-250 Diesel and wanted upgrade the rear frame tank to a higher capacity, but I can't find any extra capacity tanks that don't say "not for diesel" in the description. The bed is already as cluttered as I would like to allow, with dual stacks, a big coffin lid toolbox, LP tank and water/meth tank, so I'd rather not consider a tool & fuel...especially since I JUST bought the aluminum toolbox that's in it not too long ago.
Has anyone found an extra capacity rear replacement tank that is Diesel friendly? If so, I'd be very interested in the details. Also, could a 33 gal poly Bronco tank be used? Cause that's about all I can find for extra capacity poly tanks. Oh yeah, being that both of my stock tanks rusted out and dumped about 30 gal of No.2 on the parking lot, I'd like to stay away from steel tanks if possible. Thanks. |
look for a tank out of an f superduty. must be diesel. they are 38 gallon beasts.

P.S. 1 cubic foot = 7.48 Gallons (roughly) & it wouldn't be too hard to make one. |
I dont see why a bronco tank wouldn't work, plenty of diesel bronco conversions around.

Thanks for the tips! :tu: I didn't realize the F-Superdutys had factory 38 gallon tanks. I'll look around and see what I can come up with.

yesm, frames are almost the same.

Why would it matter if it's a diesel tank or not? A tank is a tank, right?
