Aftermarket Turbo
I have a 1991 F-250 with the 7.3 liter IH and it came stock non turbo but I bought it with an aftermarket ATS turbo system and I was wonderin if I turned up the fuel injectord the same as I would on the non turbo?
I'm not even sure if you can turn up the injection system. How does it run so far??
yes, the turbo and NA procedure is the same. make sure you have a pyro before turning it up. turn the screw a 6th of a turn each time, till she starts to run a little warm on the hills then back it down an eighth. thats as high as it can go. if you bought it NA and installed the turbo yourself, you do need to turn it up some to get full potential of the turbo. call up ATS, they should be able to tell you how much.

Its got a delayed acceleration
yea, fuel is to low. needs to be turned up
.
Thanks for your help

Is your acc delay form fuel or is it turbo lag ?
fuel
sounds like its WAY low on fuel.... my IDI is jumpy... LOL
I need to turn down my fuel as much as I hate to think of it. Doesnt even smoke but at this elevation pullin hills is a PITA. If I just got around to fabbin up my turbo....
IIRC the ATS instructions are to turn the fuel screw up 1 flat. If you have a pyrometer you can try for more. I turned mine up 2 flats and it's only gotten past 1000* pulling a 25' camper up a steep grade.

WTH, you pulling from Bonner's Ferry to Troy?
