Installed the modified MagnaFlow 5" Stainless Exhaust this afternoon. Took a little under 3 hours, had to drop the trans cross brace to get the downpipe out. Fooler box install was clean. Ran it up the road 20 miles. This engine is amazing when it can breath. Overhead was still going up when I stopped (Considerable). Will do a hand calculation on MPG's tomorrow (200 mile trip)

Hand calculated 16.8at 75 mph, previous ave was14.5 with a one time best of 16.4, adjusted the low end response on the Edge mileage level today and overhead went up to 17.3 but haven't hand calculated yet. The responsiveness is awesome so I am probably getting into the pedal alot more. Good to see a little smoke in the mirror every once in awhile

So, is this going to cause you any problems if the truck goes to the dealership? I'm thinking about a new 6.7l auto truck but I'm still scared of all the issues I've read about....

the responsiveness of the truck is awesome, the edge levels don't make sense since the delete and i have been playing with the levels to find the best mpgs. it seems level 5 is going to be the best. I have ordered a MP-8 from TS as I have heard from several that the edge on level 5 and the MP-8 at 100% are getting 21-23mpg's at 70 to 75mph. Egts at level 5 are 850 to 1050 depending on engine load. As far as warranty, the service managers are getting chewed out daily for the mpgs, my Service manager is all for the mods as it seems better for the engine. I figure the fuel savings will pay for any uncovered repairs at the worst. About 2 -3 hours to revert back to stock. I am currently in the mid 17's on mpgs mixed city and hwy. All hand calculated but overhead is now close.

OK i talked to the mechanic at my local "5 Star Dealer", he recommended the dpf delete. he also said that a district manager was posed with the question of voiding warranties because of the delete. he was told that the only thing that it voids is the warranty on the exhaust system itself. not the engine. my question is, is with all the chips you guys are putting on the trucks, does this void the warranty on the engine. pardon the question but i recently blew the motor in my 01 that had a juice with an attitude on it and i was told that this was what blew it.

WOW...you better run away from that dealer quick. He failed to tell you that in Texas it's illegal to remove any component of an exhaust system and especially if its an emissions component. If you start having issues I guarantee you that Dodge will try to void your warranty.
