how bad of a job is it to put studs in. im kinda new to the diesels but getting into it alot

They are just time consuming to do. It takes about 3 1/2 to 4 hours to do and a few torque sequence

not to bad if you do it before you blow a gasket then u dont have to pull the head pretty simple and quick mod just pull one at a time and like scott said go in sequence

Yep follow the cummins torque sequence and do one at a time and torque it down to 90 ft lbs, and so on at least thats how I do it. Then after you do all 26 of them start going up in ft lbs like 100, 110, 120, 135 is how I do the regular arp head studs. Then put it back together and start the truck up and let it get up to operating temp tear it apart and and re torque then again.
