I have a Flo Pro 5 inch TBE no muffler.. Not very expensive but everything fits together perfect

nissan720 12-27-2010 09:48 AM

Magnaflow:tu:

diesel pap 12-27-2010 10:18 AM

flow pro is the brand h&s uses. :tu:

yj junker 12-27-2010 04:52 PM

flo pro looks like a nice system :tu:it is still sitting on my deck and needs to get put under the truck:w2:great price too:tu:

bobcat67 12-27-2010 04:59 PM

they sound funny though when they still have the egr cooler on em, at least in my opinion, or maybe i'm crazy, kinda hoping someone will chime in on this to reaffirm my belief

diesel pap 12-27-2010 05:14 PM

yeah any 6.7 sounds funny warming up in cold weather. i got a magnaflow on my truck and it sounds the same as flow pro warming up.:tu:

bobcat67 12-27-2010 05:21 PM

I guess (not to steal the thread) what i'm looking to be answered is does the egr being off make a noticeable difference in the sound of the exhaust, whether it be warming up or driving? cause I've heard quite a few 6.7's without dpf's but various ones with egr deletes and some with them still intact and the ones with the egr intact seem to make less noise and sound less throaty

diesel pap 12-27-2010 05:58 PM

your prob right ty. :tu: i cant remember what my truck sounded like stock.

Thats cuz you couldnt hear it!!!:c: Them things is so quiet

diesel pap 12-27-2010 06:12 PM

i know when its cold the exhaust brake makes it hissssss:tu:

Farmboy 2.0 12-27-2010 06:20 PM

Yeah they do. I think they sound cool when they do that

cumminscontrol 12-27-2010 06:31 PM

i was wonderin the same thing....im wantin to delete the cooler on mine.....the louder the better!!

Farmboy 2.0 12-27-2010 06:42 PM

A 6.7 IMO will never be super loud compared to a 5.9Lbut I think its the displacement that makes them sound so different and the best mechanical muffler you can have in the vgt turbo

cumminscontrol 12-27-2010 06:55 PM

i been hearin alot of ppl talk about doin the 5.9 exhaust manifold and a 5.9 turbo will give you the sound back...its the vgt that makes the quieter..i hadnt tried it yet, but seriously considerin it...seen some vids on youtube of ppl doin that...trucks sound good! :tu:

CoalTrain99 12-28-2010 08:31 AM

yeah but you would lose the exhaust break

Farmboy 2.0 12-28-2010 10:25 AM

We have 4 customers running 5.9L manifolds and silver 66's and they run hard!!! With the added displacment of the engine the 66 spools almost like stock with the aftermarket turbo tune from H&S

bobcat67 12-28-2010 10:48 AM

bet they sound sweet too, lol, those 6.7's spool a turbo way fast with what seems like less fuel than a 5.9, there is no replacement for displacement

Farmboy 2.0 12-28-2010 11:04 AM

Yep all those cubic inches really help to get that turbo going. And we are spooling those with just a mini maxx, intake, and exhaust

we have guys runnung the H&S turbo back no muffler H&S full EGR delete and a smarty SR they love it until it slips the POS stock clutch

Farmboy 2.0 12-28-2010 12:39 PM

Yeah the dual mass flywheels and stock clutch really sucks in these trucks

yep ford did it in the early 90's and they sucked then so dodge thought they could pull a fast one :argh:

Farmboy 2.0 12-28-2010 12:43 PM

Lmao!!!! This is why engineers should have to work on all this stuff and see how it last before they implement these ideas

CoalTrain99 12-28-2010 01:05 PM

i never knew my dodge could sound like a F-18 on cold days..then i found flo pro:c:
