Need Help!

So this weekend i decided to take the stock exhaust off all the way to where the flange is on the front of the Nox filter right under the cab since i got my programmer. I removed all sensors from exhaust nothing is plugged in i un plugged the egr just like it said..however when i plug the xrt in to clear the codes it shows it clears them on the tuner but when i turn the truck on i still have an engine light and a flashing lightningbolt signal with 2 parallel lines beside it. I keep re trying it sometimes it will clear the lightning bolt signal and still have the engine light on then about 15 min down the road the lightning bolt will come back. Truck is running fine, actually better! I just hate these little lights its annoying..i wish i could tell you which codes its showing but im at work i get the full exhaust in today to put on. Any help appreciated!:humm:

Get the exhaust on and if it still comes up let us know what codes its throwing.

what about the little stainless lines that run to the tranny.

CoalTrain99 12-13-2010 08:24 AM

The stainless lines are out of the rubber hoses on the tranny.

i spoke to a diesel tech my company deals with he told me to un install the tuner back to stock settings and take it and update it then reinstall it..hopefully it will help:c:

one more thing i just got my 5 inch tbe here ive heard people say you have to remove the tranny crossmember to remove the down pipe...could i just cut the down pipe and how hard is it to fit the 5 inch up in there without taking the crossmember off?

droping the cross member is not hard. you take out the 2 bolts on the right side and 1 bolt on the left while holding the tranny with a jack. the cross member will hinge down enough to get the down pipe out and the new one in.

Okay i got it all on and wow! i did not know a truck could sound that good probably the best sound ive ever heard. Ive only left the xrt on the 60 setting and what a difference i feel like it can breathe now

are you sure you got the right connector pulled off? i did mine and H&S says to unplug throttle valve and that it's gray i pulled the wrong plug off and had same lights the plug you want is actually under and kind of behind the throttle valve, the light you have s the electonic throttle i belive
