DPF deleted but have some questions.

08 cummins

afe stage 2, egr cooler deleted, egr plate installed, dpf deleted (5in turbo back flo pro), rail plug installed and mini max running the system.

what do i do with the metal fittings that went to the dpf canisters, the long metal lines?

is there something on the side of the tranny to unplug?

The flo pro instructions don't give any answers for these.

i have a mini max and it is saying "D6 locked" whats that?

What to do with all those sensor plugs hanging open now? think i saw a kit for it.

Pretty easy install only problems i had was not having some of the correct tools, apparently 15mm and 18mm are an uncommon wrench as niether of my sets had them, but all my socket sets did. Had to go buy a 15mm wrench. the Rail plug scared the shit outta me as the socket stripped it on first attempt, worked it over a little and got a 17mm on the 18mm plug and finally got some grip and popped it out. Rail plug kit should be upgraded to include a new intake gasket, if you do this get one first as it will tear. directions say be careful not to tear it, whoever wrote that needs to get back in the shop! also if you do the cooler delete leave the cooler bracket on, directions say take it off but you won't have anyplace to mount your trany stick, a vacuum line and another tube that i don't know what it is. Won't look as clean and a fab guy could make some stuff but i just put it back.

Entire process took me from 10am to 7:30pm, pnuematic wrenches RULE!

If you have any questions thro me a PM.

Big thanks to Mighty Diesel!

Bump anyone got any solutions?

you take the metal lines off up at the tranny where the rubber lines start. leave it open on the tranny . the sensor plugs you can tape over them if you want. zip tie up out of the way.

Those lines just pull off, and yes they do make kits where you can by plugs to put in the ones you unplugged to keep them clean. The d6 locked you are reading means truck in drive (d) and 6th gear (6) and the torque converter is locked (locked), it will tell you what gear you are in and if the tc is locked or unlocked at the time, thats probably just what it was reading when you looked at it.

thanks for the explanation on the mini max i didn't see any thing in the book about that function.

should i plug the lines after i pull them off? They are just hanging open right now.

thanks again.

I would get the connector plug kit, If for some reason down the road you need to reinstall everything you wont have a corrosion nightmare in the plugs.
