Flexalite Fan
 
has anyone had trouble with the flexalite fans causing the engine to idle improperly? mine runs fine until the fan kicks on and then it idles almost like its missing?????????????:ouch:

the only thing I've heard is the engine will over heat towing but its all hear say until you actually have one

High alternator load.
Consider having a different temperature switch for each fan so that only one fan is running unless the temperature climbs further.

well my bosh fans pull 25amps each I cam manually run bolth and have no probs check the ALT

ok after talking with flexalite, i was told that the magnetism of the fan motors when on are disrupting the signal of the crank position sensor confusing the ecm into changing the injection timing... they told me that they have had half a dozen calls with the same issue with the 6.7's yeehaa:argh:

oh yeah, they dont have any solution except for to re install the stock fan until they come up with a solution

Try putting something on the CPS like a shop rag zip tied on or something of the sort to brake the field (just a thought)

Jerry rig some EMI shielding for the motors and/or sensor.
