I was wondering how hard it is to install boost and pyro gauges on these new 6.7L. If anybody has it done already i would appreciate some advise on the install and how it went and if there were any troubles. Never dabbled in these 6.7L. :ty:

on the pyro install I would personally have it done not worth tearing up a turbo with chips the boost my egr block off plate had a hole in it just for one of those boost fittings so its a piece of cake to install

I installed them myself. But I got some good tools. I did not take the turbo off. The cast iron piece that comes of the turbo, about 3 inches away from turbo I drilled and tapped it for the pyro's prob.
Due to the fact that there is no room, I cut 3.5 inches off the drill bit and just used the tip of it in order to have enough room to drill at 90 degrees to the surfasce area.

Modified Swagelok street tee fitting; 1/8" NPT on the left, 1/8" compression on the right, 1/8" compression on the top. Drill the fitting straight through so you can slide an 1/8" thermocouple straight through it. Then drill the NPT port out a couple more sizes and thread it into the exhaust manifold pressure port on the exhaust manifold. Get a 1/8" thermocouple and slide it through the right-side compression port, so it protrudes from the NPT port. Tighten the ferrules down over the thermocouple so that it doesn't leak. Attach the stock exhaust manifold pressure sender to the top 1/8" compression port. You need to drill out the NPT port so that the exhaust gases can flow around the thermocouple and still get to the pressure sender.


And that is the most non-invasive way of doing it. No tapping required, no drilling of the manifold.
