DPF Delete

Just did a dpf delete with a smarty m67. Drove about 40 miles and my truck said exhaust system 90% full regeneration required. Can I turn that off so it does not try to regenerate with the smarty. Also wandering what to do with the sensor tubes underneath. I black taped everything so they do not fill with dirt ( tubes and electrical plugs). Was that the wrong thing to do. Other than that love the smarty truck finally blows some smoke. :c:

diesel pap is correct. Read & clear codes even if none show up. Also make sure your Smarty version is a "ME". (I think they are at 19ME at the moment) We tape over the egt probe plugs, strap the flow lines to the frame & put the oxygen sensors back in the pipe. (Note:there are no oxygen sensors on the cab & chassis) You should also just unplug your throttle valve to shut down the egr flow into the intake.
With the present version of the Smarty this message will show up again. The truck will not regen but the message will show up. Just do the read & clear codes to eliminate it for now. They are working on an update to program out the message. It should be soon, I guess they were looking for where to program it out in the ECM & it turns out the message is in the body control module.
