Unplug your EGR valve, turn on the EB, and drive it in higher RPMs to keep it hot.

not to be a dumb ass but im still learing, but what would that do

Hotter EGT's will burn the soot out of the turbo, just like a regen does on the DPF.

Run it hard a couple times a week, too .... this helps with the build up.

i have had mine replaced, it was done at 17000 miles, its been cleaned twice, like the guys said, run the jake brake all the time. and drive it like you stole it. it will keep the turbo cleaned out.

MY old 07 6.7L had one at 5,000, 9,000, 12,000,16000, than when dodge bought it back it needed one. that truck killed me :argh: I work for my self.
my 08 had one put on at 8,000 I unpluged the egr and run the exhaust brake most of the time. Im at 30,000 with no turbo prob.

Or you can "douche" it. I do it on my race car all the time. Get a can of carb cleaner, pop the intake off and hose that baby down. It will droll any oilly crap and blast it right through when you light it off. I would assume the VGT part clogs on the exhaust side so you could try and blast that to?? I have never hurt any seals or any other myths you may hear. The impeller speed is in the 100 of thousand rpm, so the internals are way thougher then most people want to believe. Mine has not clogged on my truck yet, but I can gurantee a can of Super Tec Carb cleaner will go through it first before I pull it off!:bat:
