egt temps with edge juice

I seen some people saying the edge creates high egts what kind of temps are you running when the probe is in the manifold. Thanks any info would help I was told my turbo might be failing

what setting are you running? i have an 08 and i normally run mine on 2 (tow) cause i am always hooked to a trailer..75 mph 2000-2100 rpms down interstate egts are normally around 675-800 degrees...when i was out west and crossing the mtns, depending on the load, i saw them at 1400 but i backed off a lil bit with pedal and they dropped rite back down. do the dpf delete, egr delete, and diff intake will help you out alot. and ull be surprised with power difference 2 :c:

I run on 3 most the time egr deleted dfp deleted can run the temps up to 1200 easy with no load crusing at 70 about 900 seems to run the same temps on stock setting

Do you have some sort of cold air intake. That can help somewhat. If you do then I would just take the turbo off and give it a visual inspection. If there is shaft play or looseness the spool can be affected thus meaning worse efficiency and air intake. If the compressor wheel or turbine wheel fins are bent it can cause it to spool slower or something similar and also cause higher EGTs. Turbo may be your problem but you are injecting more fuel on lvl 3 than on lower lvls so it will naturally have higher EGTs. You may just need a turbo upgrade if you have injectors. I would not be surprised if it is the turbo. Usually the leading cause of high EGTs in stock, stock-like, and bombed trucks because of the inability to move enough air to match the fuel ratio. :c:

I dont think you have a problem, is the 1200 getting on the throtle pretty good? I have a black maxx on mine and usually see close to 800-900 crusing at higher speeds, on the hot damn 225 setting i can see 1700!, but you should see what they run when they go into regen, i have heard rediculous high numbers. I dont think you have a problem, but check out the turbo, and away you go, make sure you air filter is clean.

1200 is not getting on it very hard. Also do you guys ever get a burning oil odor in your cab when you let your truck idle in the morning

i am startin to think you should have bought one 6 months sooner:humm: just kiddin. every once and a while i get more of a unburnt fuel smell when i leave the window cracked or i don't close the door all the way, but i just figured it was normal.
