DPF Delete ??

I have had my pickup for over a year now & am sick of the lites & crappy fuel mileage. I'm looking at buying a dpf delete kit & doing the egr delete. My ? is the dpf delete's that are now being offered still seem to have a few flaw's. I don't want to buy a kit now, then 4 months latter someone come's out with a better one. I guess my ? is do's anyone know of anything new coming out soon , or should I just buy what's out there now. I allready have the edge juice attitude and the Banks Intercooler sitting in my living room, Once I get done buying goodies I hope to get them all put on. So far all I have done is put on a S&B air kit and lost the muffler. Sorry this is so long winded... Thanks for any Help :c:

Hey Sluggo, H&S makes a DPF Delete Kit for the Dodge and Fords Im pretty sure. So far I havent heard any bad reviews on them. I think most of our vendors here can get them as well. The DPF delete kits should come with electronics to "fool" the ECM into thinking that the sensors are all still functional, which will keep the codes away. I also believe that they electronics kits with some of the other brands as well will prevent the truck from going into regeneration mode.

When you get ready, Post here >> Price Quote - Request A Price - Diesel Bombers and ask for the setup you are looking for.:U:

Thanks, I'm just curious why you have to have like an Edge programmer to clear codes. You pay big $$ for a code free unit..sounds like their not quite there yet:humm:

I am gonna do the install this weekend.

Cool, let me know how it go's..I got tired of waiting & got the H&S gen.2 turbo back kit. Don't know when I'll ever get this stuff put on:stupidme:

Code free DPF kits are useless at this point without a code free EGR delete. Any of the kits generally work fine. I have been running a H&S kit with my stacks for about 20k miles or about 11 months without any issues. You will want either the edge or PMT to clear codes on start up though and you need a fooler of some sort or else you will put your truck into limp mode.:rocking:

Ya I'm going to put the edge on before messing with the exhast. I have the EGR plates that came with the dpf delete, what's your take on the EGR flap..take the plate out? or just unplug?

I also want that answer. I have the fooler boxes that came with the kit. I am just nervous about doing the EGR delete.
