Transmission Capacity
 
I want to do away with the ATF in my transmission. And I found the oil want to replace it with. The problem is I don't know how much the G-56 holds. Can someone tell me how much I need to buy? Quarts,ect. Thanks

I believe its 5. It should have it in your owners manual under fluid capacities

Ya I was just to lazy to dig it out & look :c:. I found out online it says 4 Qrts.

just change the year and at the bottom of the page it will tell you the initial fill level

think i put 5 to get it full then on through the top for a qt over which they recomend. qhat oil you go with

I went with some Exxon Mobil synthetic manual trans fluid. Its what Mercedes Benz recomends... see how it works

Ya you were right it says like 4.9 Quarts. Good old internet you can hear a lot of diffrent things, depends on what site you go to...It must be true it was on the internet LOL

Over filling won't hurt I'm running 7 quarts of GJ lite in mine just extends the time between changes
