I have a few Recon things. Never been overly-impressed with the quality, but there aren't a lot of options out there unfortunately. What are you looking at? I have their cab lights, mirror lenses, and interior lights. The cab lights always have moisture inside, no big deal I guess, can't really see them. The mirror caps fit like crap and whistle at high speeds. Some guys have shimmed them on the inside. As for lighting they look great though and illuminate well, just don't fit really well on the mirror. The interior lights look great, had a bunch of trouble with them when I first got them, seems if they moved just a little bit they went out. Just played with them until they seemed to work, haven't had any troubles since then. Wanted to get the tails, but opted against it due to cost and hearing mixed reviews about bulbs going out and them not standing behind their product at all. Ended up just doing VHT nighshades on them. JMO.

Default Recon mirror side lens lights

I'd have to agree with Mdub. I bought Recon smoked mirror lenses for my '06 SuperDuty. The install was not to precise and to top it all off the OEM lenses had a direct plug in to the lens. The Recon has a pigtail with a massive plug that plugs into the OEM plug. The problem is that the plug assembly is so huge there is really no place to put it to assemble the mirror and not have it interfere with the mirror operation. I had to cut both plugs and direct solder them together on the drivers mirror in order to reassemble the mirror without it interfering with the mirror operation. The passenger side seemed to have a little longer pigtail allowing for better placement of the assembly out of the way. Overall the lens doesn't fit as well as the OEM and is not near as bright or visible from the same angles as the OEM. I had to take my drivers side mirror apart so many times to get it right that I broke on clip and now will have to find myself an entirely new mirror assembly. Not so impressed. For what these lenses cost I would expect a better fit and assembly.

Same problem, got the smoked mirror lenses, and cab markers, Have had lots of issues with mirror lenses, the cab light LED "T" lights lasted about a month, Got some amber LEDs @ NAPA and they have lasted over a year now.
