Im looking at ordering a new 2013 at the end of the year or first of next. I was wondering about if any one has had much trouble with the automatics yes I do alot of heavy pulling and also I was told Dodge 3500 was using DEF and I dont know when the 2500 is switching too DEF and if they are running better on DEF than having EGR?

 

i like my manual i wont own any automatic just my opinion the 3500 does not run def only c&c the trucks the 2500 and 3500 still has dpf and egr

 

i got an 2 2011s one tons one auto and one manual they so far are not much difference really so far but both have less then 60,000 miles on them and im running hotshot with em avg load weights around 13 to 16k and like coolers man said the 3500s dont have def "yet" anyways hope this helps ya

 

On the 2 2011s there isnt any differance in pulling power with 800 foot pounds over the manule trany then? thanks

 

i had an auto it was ok no issues. i have a manual now and im putting in a clutch after 4k but it is chipped. even with the clutch issue i like the manual better
