Default First time diesel owner

Just bought 2009 Dodge Cummins a few months ago and it is my first diesel. I have noticed while looking through the site that most people who have the 6.7 run H&S tuners. Did I make a mistake putting an Edge Juice W/Attitude in? Also I need to put a clutch in, the truck will never be on a track but will pull a 35' gooseneck of hay and 350 bu grain wagons. I dont know if I should get a big single disk, a double disk or even which brand... Any help?

Thanks...

to DB!

I would look into Valair and Southbend clutches. I am sure there are some other great brands out there but that is all I can think of now. Edge J/A is a great module for what you want to use the truck for. The edge as a lot of safety features which is a GOOD thing.

Thanks, from what I've heard and I may be wrong but SB double has a ceramic disk and an organic disk and the Valair double has two organic disks. Also I've heard the organics last longer than the ceramics... I personally dont know anybody that runs either of these clutches and I dont really want to talk to a dealer because like any dealer they will be biased...

You know I haven't done enough research on clutches to tell you much more then I'm sure you already know. Someone will chime in and give you some more info I'm sure.

Were running a south bend double disc. It is the 3250 and I think the range is 475- 650HP? I am positive that the truck is exceeding that hp, however once we do a little more tuning and reprogram to let the twins make full boost, we have it set at around 40 now, not sure what will happen. I would talk with Tony aka diesel pap, he is on this site. He want sell you something just to sell it, he has always answered my questions and researched ones when he didnt have the answer. Heck he even answers his phone on Sundays when I need help! Also my experience with the guys at southbend has been good which goes a long way for me. Just make sure you break it in right, it will last a lot longer!
