Catalyst Full Service Required

This morning catalyst full service required popped up on my overhead, but i have done all the deletes. I have the H&S mini max & has no codes. How do i clear this off my overhead. I read a post similar to this but the guy had a smarty. It said to disconnect all the batteries & touch the neg to pos post. Is this what i need to do or is there another way. Thanks in advance for any help.

you can try to clear it. i know they are no codes but just do it just like you got a code. i have to do that with my smarty.

my truck said the same thing but this was before i had cleared the code, i have the edge race programmer and i have gone through and cleared the codes already but now every time my truck comes to an idle, my EGT's rise to about 750 and the turbo is wound really high. would yal know whats possibly causing this?

What is cat full

Mine threw that message and two others, tried different downloads, reprogramming and then I think Chuck at H&S suggested it may need a fuel rail plug. I put one in and still had to do a complete download from scratch but the fuel mileage increased, runs smoother and no more big messages "get to the dealer now" or die coming over the console.

what version are you running. Mine was doing the same thing. Trouble is that its a "body" code and the tuner only scans dtcs from motor. Update tuner the new software fixes this problem. It did for me anyway :tu: on their site it tells you what new updaqte fixes and i believe in like julys update it specifies this problem

Rail 11-26-2012 08:13 AM

ah, geeze who remembers versions??? It was about June/July when H&S started down the path on me with this. Then I had a couple out of town trips with the "dinger" as I came to call it. Almost wore ear plugs it was every 10 miles! The latest on the website is the same one they sent me I am told for the Dodge 3500 specifically and I had to have it reprogram the engine not just update it, if that helps. Sorry dude it's 15 degrees out there and just don't wanna go look at the version. The fuel rail was blowing overflow and I think the plug did the biggest change. Though I did notice that getting rid of that 25lb CCV filter full of black crap made a big difference.

CumNasty 11-26-2012 10:35 AM

You did notice big difference with ccv delete? The first thing hs told me to do when mine said cat full was change ccv. I did about 20k miles ago its already shit and truck has been running funny at idle and mileage fell I'm thinking about doing ccv delete and see if it helps

Rail 11-26-2012 03:23 PM

ccv delete eliminates the dumping of junk into your turbo intake and will probably increase the life of your turbo x 2! :choochoo: I noticed immediate improvement when I took out the CCV that weighed in about 15 or 20 pounds it was so full of black junk.

and PS, my idle was rough as well, the fuel rail plug seems to have eliminated that.

Did mine runs awesome. Just remove filter and run a vent tube down to inside of frame to vent gasses

CumNasty 11-27-2012 09:52 AM

So u didn't dick with gutting old filter u just took out and plugged tube to turbo and ran vent hose out of top cover? And left everything inside open?

baddodges 11-27-2012 08:24 PM

Yep. And no seepage from cover I've read allot of peop do that.been 2 months now.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

You also have to plug the hole on the intake tube.

CumNasty 11-28-2012 06:15 PM

What hose to intake? i plugged hose end that goes down to turbo and then ran an open hose out of top cover
