tuning?
what about tuning? my uncle is running a smarty. do the dealer and or warranty company void the warranty on any of these mods? :pca1:
|
Tons of discussion on that topic. Some will say it voids some will say it won't, some say they have to prove the mod caused the failure.
I'd say just from keeping up with the dodge posts, more people seem to have problems with warranty and engines that are left stock than people who do the deletes, NOT talking about the full on modified engines, just the deletes with a tuner. IMO, Delete it if you have no state inspection. Save your delete stuff incase you ever have to move or if your state starts inspecting. If you delete it just be ready to have the dealer refuse to warranty drive train. If it's a major repair you can put your stuff back on and possibly the dealer won't know. Have read where techs can find the tuner altering the cpu if they look. |
I dont believe the smarty has dpf tuning out for the 2011's yet. I know H&S Performance has tuning out for them

i was told by dealer they have to link what ever prob you had with the mod such as putting exhaust isnt going to make it throw a rod it just voids emission warranties how ever i was in florida workin had somthing popping in my front end and the flagged my truck cause they heard my fass fuel pump they screwed me pretty good just know how the dealer is before you take it too them my dealer in oklahoma recomended to delete it all
