Just got my 6.7
Flew down to Houston and picked up my new 07 6.7. Drove great back to Colorado. Cant believe how quiet it is compared to my 2000
. Had it about 5 hrs before mother nature decided that it needed some dents. Between Weatheford and Sweetwater TX i got hit with golfball size hail.
. Doing all the deletes this weekend before the insurance takes the truck to fix it and repaint it
. Has anyone removed thier heatergrid out of the plate to the intake manifold? Saw this on Rolling Smoke diesel. Wasnt sure if it was worth it or not.

if you're putting in a railplug or shimming the relief you'll get to look at your grid when you pull the intake horn, and you can clean it then.

The rail plug compeltely removes the rail pressure relief valve and shimming the relief valve makes the valve withstand more pressure before it finally pops. Unless you've got the truck turned up and looking for all out performance this mod is not really needed.
