ok my dad wants to buy a 6.7 mega cab 08 but debating because we know its having problems...it drives for a while then bogs down it might be turbo...they have took it to the dealership because it had warranty. said the same shit that it had contaminated fuel...anyone have any idea?

mechanic says it can be turbo, filters, or injectors. but he hasnt taken a look anyone know though what you need to do to make these engines last?

Agreed. Get rid of the EGR and DPF. But I would make sure there is nothing wrong with it before you ever buy it, replaced parts can get expensive.

they said it was the turbo...why does that dpf fck up the truck so much?

The egr is hell on everything imagine running trash in the motor that's basically what the egr does its not only deprimental to the turbo but also your head and motor when we pulled the head off my truck there was at least .030 of build up on the intake valves and valve stems just a bad idea all in all hope this helps
