Waving the white flag on 2008 6.7L

Sooting up since day 1. 4 turbos, 1 DPF system in 30K is too much. It also is making 2 QTs of oil after 500 miles. DTC 2262 is burned Into the cluster. Diesel is a nice idea, but the Dealers in the area are useless and I running out of patience. Do I roll the dice on a $1200 delete system (shouldnt have to)

Sounds like a DPF and EGR delete system would be your solution. Sorry to hear about your luck. Do you still have warranty on the truck?

dpf egr delete prob solved

Still has warranty, which is why Im debating deleting anything. What are the odds that the injector seals are leaking and causing the oil level rise?. If I go the delete route, can I still use the factory turbo?. Will I have to clear a MIL every start up?.

trade it in on 2007 5.9.

i would start looking at the lemon law and leave it stock until they fix it i would hate to see you have to buy injectors when they been messed up this whole time thats just my 2 cents

I'd go this route, too. It gets you out of a bad truck and gets you into a better one.

Same thing I was saying. Make sure everything else is in line before doing any deletes.

Your oil rise should be from regens. I am guessing your mileage is really bad, And a guess of mine is you don't pull very much. if at all.

IF you do the deletes you keep the factroy turbo, you can block the egr Easy mod and your oil will stay clean and clear and you wont soot up you turbo which is taking it out.
If you put in a H&S or a smarty your truck will run code free.

I don't know how many miles you have on your truck but I think you need to raise a little hell with your dealer. Demand to talk to the factory rep. :bat:They should be at the dealer a few times a month. You shouldn't have to do the deletes just to make your truck run right. But do the deletes to make it run better.

What is happening to your truck is not the norm
