In CA. what mods can be done?
 

Hi everyone:

I am new to this forum, deisels and mods. I love this truck but :humm: I know that it has a lot more under the hood than I am getting out of it. I am moving back to California soon and wonder what can be legally done to the engine, that wont need to be removed every 2 years for a smog check. Other than a air filter. :ouch:

just the air filter... and any exhaust modifications that don't affect the DPF... Other than that nothing!!!

Also depends on where in California you are moving to. Certain counties you only have to smog when you first register it in California and then only when you sell it. I know Humboldt, Del Norte, and Mendocino counties you dont have to smog and I believe there are counties to the south that dont require also. As soon as my warranty is up the DPF is coming out on my 6.7L. Check to see if your county is on the list.

H&S is working on some programming that will work with the DPF. Then down the road is you decide to delete the DPF you still have that option.
