Back-up beeper. Dealer item?
 

'08 6.7 2500. We need to get a back-up beeper on it so we can drive it on certain refineries.


I seem to recall people complaining that dealers were installing or enabling back-up beepers during a recall or ECM re-flash? Wasn't there something like that going on?


Or am I stuck putting a beeper on myself?

NAPA sells reverse light bulb / beeper all in one. I think the one I got for my company truck was around $25. Plug and play.

I guess I was thinking of the "horn beeps when you're in reverse with the door open" dealer modification.


I can wire a reverse beeper, that shouldn't be a problem. I'm thinking solenoid-controlled air horns.

Am putting on board air into mine. And been shoppin for some air horns I can hide. Know somewhere there were train horns being sold. Now that would get some attention..
