Tell Me about these things!
It looks like I'm going to be the owner of a new 2009 5500, 6.7, 4x4, 6spd manual, with a flatbed! My 06 I don't think is going to do what I need it to do.
So tell me all about these things, problems, fuel mileage, towing, mods and the stupid DPF! I was think'n about strait piping it from the DPF back? Will this mess/cause faults/ckeng lights or is this a bad idea? Thanks! P.S. My 06 in my sig is for sale. It has 56k on it. |
In order to delete the DPF you will have to use some type of DPF Delete Kit. H&S XRT / Smarty 6.7 and a CR Expandit Exhaust works very well. If your truck was built before March 09 then your ok. If your truck was built from March + then your :edit: of out luck. Dodge just starting using a flash that will kill the trucks PCM if you attempt to put any type of Programmer on your truck.
If you just run a straight pipe from the DPF back then you won't have any issues. |
this flash they are doing on the 09s are the dealers going to flash the older 6.7s when we take them to the shop ? I hope not .
