Need a way to get by warranty
I recently bought a 2011 cummins 6.7. It's a very nice truck but just too quite for me. I want to delete the dpf and I have no worries of smog test or anything like that. My main worry is getting by the warranty. I was wondering exactly how hard it is to install and uninstall a dpf delete kit. And if I uninstalled it and put the dpf back on would the dealership be able to tell I did such a thing. Please help. Thanks

If the dealer really wanted to know if your truck was modded, at one time, they can check your truck's black box & see when was the last time the truck had regen:humm: but i don't think they would do that:nope:

If your worried about you warranty leave it stock. If not delete and be happy there warranty is a joke anywa . Ifbi buy another new one it will be deleted the day I get it. No questions asked. After the warranty is over the damage is already done by the emissions. Then that's on your dime later

Thanks, I'll probably just do it anyway. I just can't believe the price on these dpf kits. If I bought a tuner and straight piped it would it not be the same thing?

You can buy a DPF delete pipe or a full exhaust, from there you will just need to buy the tuning needed to provide the Delete codes to be shut off.

There not to bad I just did full deletes on a 12. With 5" turbo back and egr delete with efi live for 1340. I promise only thing you will hate is you left the crap on there so long. Delete it and never look back
