Help on choosing a transmission
 

Ok so i have been looking around here for a few weeks now and decided to register because I cant find what im looking for, when it comes to transmission everyone fights back and fourth and in the threads Ive read here and on other forums it just seems like everyone tells everyone else that they are wrong and that they are an idiot, so here is my hopeful attempt at getting the info I need to make a educated decision. First off this is my first diesel truck, I totaled my Hemi power wagon and bought my 2007.5 6.7....im noticing they have a few issues :argh: I feel like ive spent 5 days strait reading about transmission issues!

Anyway, truck is an automatic and I have NO interest in a $8,000 tranny from ATS or anyone else, I am going to switch over to manual so my question is, what is the best manual trans to put behond the 6.7 AND WHY? Truck will not be stock, currently has a H&S programer on it so I want something that can handle more power, I will do some towing time to time but nothing insane, I also do drive my trucks hard and want something that would be reliable since this auto trans is anything but.
