I am not positive but I think the diffference is off road has dye in it. Off road can be either low sulfur or regular from what I read.

I dont think ya hurt nuttin

off road diesel is the same only it has red dye in it

Not another off road diesel thread!

There is no difference. Red dye is added for tax purposes. That is all.

It all depends on what off road diesel you put in it. Here we still have a choice between USLD and LSD, at work we have LSD. I would not be worried about it, just keep in mind that one cup of red fuel will taint 500+ gallons of road fuel.

Most dyed fuel is still LSD. 6.7L's are designed for ULSD. If you ran it all the time, system wouldn't be able to handle it, causing damage. But the little bit you put in, you'll be fine.

Didn't dye my system red:w2:

Nope. As a matter of fact I ran 3 tanks of it, then went back to clear. I changed my fuel filter shortly after, and didn't see a trace of red.

I do not know for sure , but aren't they using an ultra violet lite , also dip the tank & or check tail pipe .
Then need to know more about the red dye filter system .:w2:

I've been told red fuel will leave traces and show up in your pump even after many hundreds of gallons of fuel have gone through it.
