Down Pipe

What's the best way to pull a down pipe off of a 6.7L cummins. I'm going to put a 5" staright pipe on mine.

remove the trans mount bolts, jack up the trans, loosen and remove the cross member bolts, you can leave one in the drivers side, and just swing the cross member down on the passenger side.
Remove bolts from the pipe support, and the v band clamp where the pipe bolts to the back of the turbo

yup, and then when our wonderful EPA makes us put 'em back on, you gotta buy one.
No thanks

so dont deal with the epa. know your ways around it or leave it stock. theres ways around everything. my truck will never run emissions again. worst come to worse my truck will wind up being an 07 5.9 on the title and vin numbers anyway.

Still have to move that cross piece so u can get the new one in. Or i did at least!

jdinny 04-07-2013 09:46 AM

AFE used to make a two piece downpipe, not sure if they still do.
You could get that one in if you wanted to cut your original out
