High pitched whistle
Hey Guys I need some help.
07 Dodge Ram 3500 6.7 4x4 I just did a complete delete of the emissions and installed turbo back pipe delete and installed the smarty jr program. Here is my concern as I accelerate everything is great until I hit 2000 rpms then there is a high pitched whistle as soon as I drop below 2000 rpms it goes away, if the exhaust break is applied and the motor reves above 2000 rpm it dose the same.:s: I went through and tightened everything I could possibly tighten that involved the air intake and turbo connections.:argh: Is this normal or do I have a problem and if so what do I need to do to fix this issue. Thanks for your help V/R Acad |
its normal its just your exhaust brake actuating nothing wrong at all. when i first deleted mine in early 08 i thought i broke something as well, :tu:

Hey thanks
Just wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed anything.:c: |
If you hear that whistle followed by a grinding, banging, crunching, all at the same time, then followed by intense flames coming out of the exhaust and between your legs, then you might have cause for concern.........:tttt: Just kidding dude. Welcome to DB:c:

I just did my delete and took it for a ride. I noticed the noise right away! Now I have read it is normal. No one told me anything about this. I like it:tu:
