DPF back exhaust

Just a couple exhaust questions. #1 - On a stock 08' Dodge 6.7, cat & DPF in-place, will a DPF back exhaust system do any good? #2 - I heard there are DPF back sysems designed to help with EGT's, is this true and if so who are they? Thanks in advance.

They don't help. The factory muffler isn't very restrictive at all.
I put one on when my tailpipe rotted away from the muffler :D

Yep they very rarely change anything.

I appreciate the info. What about the EGT's, I read something, somewhere, about louvers or some sort of spacing placed at some point in the system that are supposed to reduce EGT's, I think to allow freash air to be pulled in. Anyone read anything about this?
