Axle Seal Bad?

So I have fluid seeping from my right front axle inboard of the hub. I'll wipe it completely dry and it comes back in a day or two. I think this problem originated when I was sideswiped a year ago. They had replaced the hub and ball joints at this time. I'm looking at just buying the seal for it (it's like 18 bucks) and doing it myself, but I hear it is quite a job. Opinions???

sounds like seal for sure. its been along time since i have been in one. pull the center nut drop the caliper&rotor have the wheels strait the axle will slide out if i remember right you have to put the seal in through the pumpkin (correct me if im wrong )

Thanks. I heard I'll have to take the diff cover off and pop the clips before i can pull out the axle. I guess it's prob a good time to change the fluids anyway. What do suggest as a good diff lube?

think im running royal purple 75-90 full synthetic. there are no clips on the front axles the only thing that actually holds the axle in place is the wheel bearing. just got off the phone with my uncle he runs a mechanic shop of 20+ yrs. he said you will have to pull the gears to change the seal. i didnt think you had too. i know the seal is by the pumpkin. hope this helps
