Which ones have u tried and if 14 was ur favorite why was it I'm running the latest update whichever that one is and I think it's got to much timing it's just to clean for a diesel not even a haze at wot.

I've tried ME 14,17,18,18 TNT, 23,23tnt and I believe 25
Who did you get your smarty from?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

The more timing you have, the more fuel is introduced early thus creating smoke. If I remember right the smarty doesn't shoot a ton of smoke with the 6.7 like it does to the 5.9

I bought it from a guy here in my hometown he blew 3 hg with it running on the 90hp setting but he was pulling a big cattle trailer when I first got it it wouldn't load to my truck is was a 2010 so he updated it for me now it works I'm not certain what version it is I just assumed the latest, as for smoke I'm not really out for clouds just like to see a good haste at wot that's just what I've always been taught a diesel should do as far as fueling goes.

True but smarty has gotten clean they have come along way are you running a Jr or the s67

Andrew1995 08-20-2013 10:41 PM

S67 I'm prolly running a little on the safe side as far as rail pressure and the timing advance you can do on it scared of messing a factory injector up idk how much they can hold, oh and I have an aftermarket turbo it's a 62 phatshaft shoulda went 64 or 66 but got a good deal on it I hope there wasn't something I missed on the delete part of the factory turbo removal there is a small hole where a hard line screwed in by the thermostat housing I left it open maybe u know something about that I'm full of questions I know thanks for the help

If I remember right I ran my rail pressure at 2, turbo on 3, timing on 2-3 to much of that and you get bad rattle, and torque man. On 2-3 and I ran sw8 constantly. As far as the turbo I'm not sure man. I can research it though have you checked out cummins forum or maybe call industrial injection and see what they say about the turbo

Andrew1995 08-20-2013 10:56 PM

No haven't talked to anyone bout turbo but it hits 45 lbs already real easy, did u have headstuds on yours while running this and my egt gauge is messed up I got a new one on the way what was ur gets like.

CUMMINONYOU89 08-22-2013 08:44 AM

I didn't run gauges man no head studs either but everything seemed fine I'm on efi live now pushing it even further

Andrew1995 08-22-2013 12:02 PM

I thought about trying me14 but have had a lot of people tell me that was the head gasket killer and I'm for sure not wanting to mess with all that headache yet

14 is a really aggressive tune it runs good but smokes like you have a 100 tires burning in the back of your truck. I blew my hg with this tune so have many others I would stick with what you got. I wouldn't be running much high timing either. I believe running high timing helps push the hg out also but I could be wrong there
