Easy DPF Delete

I have a 2007 Dodge Cummins 6.7. The truck stopped running while out of town. I had a local Muffler shop remove the NOX, and DFP and install a straight pipe. I removed the sensors and tied the wires to the frame with a wire tie. This allowed me to drive the truck home. I am now looking to complete the delete.

What are my next steps to complete the delete? I would like to keep the catalytic converter and EGR installed. But I want the computer to think everything is good.

Smarty jr me programmer S&B intake. Why would you leave the cat when everything else is removed?

the truck was stuck on the side of the road in Branson Missouri. I took the truck to the dealer who said i needed a new DPF, injector flush, DFP sensor, and a crank case breather for the great low price of $4,000. I told them they were crazy and drove the truck to the nearest muffler shop. (The truck would run for about a half mile at a time). the shop installed new pipe from the converter flange back so I could get home. removing the cat would have taken longer than I wanted to wait.

now that I am home I am looking to finish the DPF delete. I'm fine with leaving the EGR and cat installed.

So can I leave the Cat and EGR installed and Just use a smarty jr to reprogram the computer? I can do the EGR delete but I would like the engine to look as stock as possible.

The egr delete is very simple and only about 100.00. The cat will cause some restrictions and eventually soot up.

The egr will soot up as well and constantly give you problems.but if you choose to leave them on a smarty jr me programmer will work.

the cat won't bother anything. They burn off at like 700 degrees.
I would definitely consider blocking the egr off. You really don't need all that soot running back through your engine.

Thanks to everyone for the help. Since we were stuck in Branson Missouri we took the truck to a local muffler shop who removed everything from the cat back. (he didn't want to touch the cat). That allowed us to limp back to St. Louis. I took the truck to MCS Midwest Diesel in Pacific. They had me unplug the EGR, EGR actuator, and Throttle valve connectors. They then programmed the truck with an economy tune using their in house tuner. The truck runs great. It only smokes under extreme load and gets great fuel millage. :jump:
