i have a stock 6.7 manifold and i am putting it on my 5.9 to use the vgt turbo! what is the little port half way down the manifold used for on a 6.7? it looks to be a 1/4" npt fitting port with a hole all the way through. i was going to use it for a egt probe bu i went to put a 1/4" npt to 1/8" addapter in it and it would not thread in. i will force it if some one can reasure me that it is indeed a 1/4" port not a metric or anything. pic of what i am talking about below! it is the red circle not the greeen line

 

Not sure of the size but im guessing its where the factory ecm get its drive pressure readings from

 

it is 1/4 inch, but it is flared fitting that went there. i took all that stuff off my 6.7.
that port went to the thermostat housing. and it is a fine thread not standard iron pipe size.

 

Need to drill and tap it.

is a fine thread 1/4"-1/8"npt even avalible?

 

it is a bung for exhaust pressure readings for dpf system.
