Arp Headstuds
Does anyone know where i can get arp headstuds for the 6.5 at a decent price. The cheapest i have seen is 159.99 on summits page?
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Never mind, i found the price quote thread section, this is cool!! |
welcome i didnt know you were over here. hows the starter?
|
Just joined the other day. Cool site!! I think the starter is ok, but i will not no till i install the ignition switch, ignition tumbler lock, and ignition alarm switch, and then for safety two battery cutoffs, so if it happens again i will just unscrew them, it wont be done for prolly another week, i wont get the parts till next thursday...

well i hope it all works out good. and driving a 302 mustang to work cant be that bad either for the time being

I know you get what ya pay for, i was just seeing if i could get a set for a little chreaper going with a site vendor.... |
160 bucks for ARP head studs for any engine is friggin cheap, are you sure those aint main studs......cause thats insane cheap......
|
I really dont know what cheap is for them, i have never gone shopping for headstuds before, ive always used bolts... I found another place that sells them for 260... The summit site says they are for the 6.2 but i think they are the same....
|
im pretty sure there headstuds. the most boost a 6.5 will probably see is 25 Psi in a heavely modified engine so its a bit shy of the current high performance diesels. dont need as much clamping force
|
OEM studs are fine at stock boost levels and a engine with a healthy cooling system, unless you expect to run 15+ consistently or do a lot of head gasket changes really no need to swap to ARPs
