Heath review
I ordered the Heath ECM and Turbo master on 4/27. It came in yesterday. The delay was due to people not returning cores or bad cores and new ECM's are apparently hard to get. After a little wriggling I got the computer out and the ECM was a quick install. The Turbo-master is machined nicely and goes right on. the hardest part is getting the old C-clip out of the vacuum arm. Took it for a drive this morning combined highway and back roads. Absolutely a different vehicle. The Diamond Eye 4" exhaust (muffler) and 2.5" crossover previously installed made a nice difference but now the truck really has some nuts. When I ordered it I was asked about the type of driving I did and it was programmed accordingly. (some highway mostly around town and rural 30-55mph). It cruised effortlessly up long highway inclines. The torque converter locks up earlier and the tranny shifts when it is supposed to now. A little gas will give you a nice smooth acceleration and you don't even have to floor it for a downshift and good 50-75 passing. Very, very, very happy with the performance. The only thing I noticed is that the Glow plug light stays on for about 10 secnds after the engine starts which it used to go out immdiately after ignition. :jump:

Glad to hear that you are happy with your upgrades.

I have about 800 miles on it since the Heath mods and no problems at all. Hard to tell about the MPG because I have this tendency to get into it more now! I ws averaging 15.8 before the Heath mods and it's real close to that still. Still very happy how well the truck runs.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it in all run you? Before shipping. I'm very interest in doing this same setup, with a different exhaust setup.

Ya that's true but he said the light stays on not flashes. What I was saying is that could b the after glow. The Heath ecm could make the glow plugs stay on not just flash
